Iranian Forces State Strike on US Base in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Amid Regional Military Operations.

Iranian forces say they have struck a American military facility in Bahrain, as the country executed operations across the region in response for a significant and ongoing assault against it by the US and Israel.

Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an vicinity in the area of the main base of the American Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The scope of any damage is uncertain and the US has not commented.

Regional Interceptions

In other parts of the Middle East, the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait - all home to US military bases - stated they have intercepted missiles in their territorial skies.

In the Qatari capital, Qatar's defence ministry stated it had intercepted several missiles apparently targeting the Al Udeid Air Base, the biggest US military installation in the Middle East.

IRGC Statement

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) declared it was attacking US bases and assets as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in reprisal for the strikes on the Islamic Republic carried out by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday.

That preceding assault - launched at around 06:15 GMT - has so far targeted locations linked to the Tehran's leadership, with US President Donald Trump calling on the people of Iran to rise up against the government.

Regional Fallout

In the State of Israel, air raid sirens sounded across the country after the Israeli military stated it had detected an barrage of missiles from Iran.

The defence ministry of the UAE said in a statement that the nation has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"UAE air defence systems dealt with the missiles with notable success and successfully intercepted a series of missiles," the statement continued.

It said missile fragments fell on a residential area in Abu Dhabi, resulting in some structural damage and killing a civilian.

The US Air Force is stationed at Al Dhafra Air Base, south of the Emirati capital, along with the Emirati Air Force.
